چکیده

2. QUADRATIC TIME-FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTIONS AND AMBIGUITY FUNCTION In this paper, the properties Of the recently Proposed B-distribution are investigated. We show that this distribution satisfies most of the desirable properties sought for a time-frequency distribution. Quadratic (also known as Cohen’s) class of time-frequency distributions is defined by the following expression [31: That is, we show that the B-distribution is real, time and frequency shift invariant and its first moment with respect to frequency yields the instantaneous frequency of the signal. We also show, using real and synthetic data, that the B-distribution outperforms other quadratic time-frequency distributions in resolving signals’ components in the time-frequency domain. It achieves a better timefrequency resolution and a better energy concentration around the instantaneous frequency of the signal, and still significantly suppresses the cross-terms.

Probability-possibility DEA model with Fuzzy random data in presence of skew-Normal distribution

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a mathematical method to evaluate the performance of decision-making units (DMU). In the performance evaluation of an organization based on the classical theory of DEA, input and output data are assumed to be deterministic, while in the real world, the observed values of the inputs and outputs data are mainly fuzzy and random. A normal distribution is a contin...

Performance evaluation of Iranian electricity distribution units with stochastic Data Envelopment Analysis

Performance evaluation of electricity distribution units is an important issue between researchers and regulators. Classic Data Envelopment Analysis models with deterministic data have been used by many authors to measure efficiency of power distribution units in different countries. However, Data Envelopment Analysis with stochastic data are rarely used to measure efficiency of distribution co...

Performance Evaluation of Two Strategies of “Lining” and “Automated Operation” in Reducing the Water Conveyance and Distribution Losses within the Main Canals, Case Study of Moghan Main Canal

Seepage losses and poor operational activities are the two main source of water losses throughout the agricultural water conveyance and distribution systems in irrigation districts. This study aims to investigate the performances of two strategies of “canal lining” and employing the “Canal Automation” in order to reduce the losses mentioned above. The investigation was carried out on a couple o...

Evaluation of Agricultural Water Distribution and Delivery Systems from the Viewpoints of Adequacy, Efficiency and Equity (Case Study: Irrigation Network of Roodasht, Isfahan)

The main purpose of the study is the operational simulation of main irrigation canal and evaluation of water delivery and distribution locally, regionally and overall using adequacy, efficiency, and equity indicators and “Desirability of water delivery and distribution” indicator. To achieve this goal, the hydrodynamic model of Roodasht irrigation network’s main canal was developed. The results...

Factors Involved in Evaluation of Physical Education Teachers’ Performance

The aim of this research has been to help improve the performance evaluation of physical education teachers by identifying factors involved in such a task and exploring their relevance through a survey of such teachers in Tehran. A cluster sample of 384 physical education teachers was selected from among all such teachers in Tehran’s 19 districts divided into five geographic areas. Data was col...

On Performance of Reconstructed Middle Order Statistics in Exponential Distribution

In a number of life-testing experiments, there exist situations where the monitoring breaks down for a temporary period of time. In such cases, some parts of the ordered observations, for example the middle ones, are censored and the only outcomes available for analysis consist of the lower and upper order statistics. Therefore, the experimenter may not gain the complete information on fa...
